Re: British Championship dates 2019
Interestingly, all these organisations are in England, which is exactly what the Acu, Smca, Smx & Amca have done, I have personally been in contact with them all over the last four months, resulting in one clash this year so far, with this being the British Imba round that is posted out early bu...

Re: British Championship dates 2019
All this discussion about how it should be done, unless you have actually tried to organise it then I really don't think you know how impossible it really is, no major organisation can start to look at others when looking for dates, the Acu have to wait for the GPs, the smca have to wait for the Bri...

Re: CLUBMANS ROUND 5 - YARLEY - CHANGES
PLEASE BE AWARE, WE NEED 5 MARSHALLS FOR THE DAY TO RUN.
If we have to ballot we will, but if we can find ten people to do half day, or more so we can do a few races each then that's fine, please step up and help us out, now we have done our bit to find another venue to run!!!

Re: Desertmartin Entries
last post from me Taffy, The Clubmans is run under ACU rules, not BY the ACU, we can easily go to other organisations, but we will stay loyal to the ACU for the clubmans as they will back us regarding our rules. The problem we had in the past was getting full line ups week after week as people just ...

Re: Winchester on Good Friday
To be fair, they were asked if they wanted to have a clubmans round there, they did inform the Smca they weren't having sidecars at this meeting so nobody has known about it, but it has always been a good event so they should get an entry for it, it has now been put out there for them.

Re: Desertmartin Entries
Taffy, I did try to explain at the AGM how and why we do what we do, The Acu DO NOT run the clubmans, we do, and as I said I spent hours sending emails, calling clubs and trying my best to get a six round series, I was told the dates that the AMCA were hoping to run, I did also manage to get one org...

Re: Which GP to go to in 2017?
HI,
Iffendic is a great French track, you can go Portsmouth-Le Harve boat too and it will save on driving.
We took in the Normandy beaches and war memorials the day before to make a trip of it?

Halstead British Championship
Hi all, I have had a message from the club saying they have only received 17 entries for the weekend so far! the closing date was three weeks ago for registered riders so if anyone else wants to enter, please do it ASAP. The programme has gone to print. please pass the word around, this is very low ...

Re: a third way forwards
Hi, all great ideas, and ones we have already thought of and I personally have been in contact with the Quad and Evo organisers to find a way forward. Yes numbers are up in general, and when you add all sidecars up we SHOULD have enough to run two separate groups, but the reality of it is we don't. ...

Clubmans round 4-Gest Hastings Entries
Hi all, The club will make entries available via the ACU website at 7pm on Monday 16th May. They will be holding back any Non-registered riders who want to ride until one week before the event to allow registered teams to enter, they will then be accepting on a first come first served basis. So to a...

Re: National points Title
Taffy, I can only speak from my experience in being involved with both riding and trying to organise races for sidecars. The reason for people retiring is not normally because they dont race enough, it is normally because they go off to do other things, or simply cant afford to ride anymore. We have...

Re: National points Title
Wow, you all make it sound soo simple. In the past a joint ACU/Amca series has been run, which was very good, but "Someone" had to jointly organise this, finding 6-8 Clubs willing to run the vents, but they have to be run under two different permits(obviously), so one set of riders each ti...
