Re: Starting A ZABEL 700

Hi Kim, Best method I found from cold is to hold down the "tickler" button on the carb until fuel starts to runsout of the overflow. Then hold in the decompressor and turn the engine over with the kick start 7 - 10 slow gentle kicks. Then take the kickstart all the way back to the top of t...

Re: MTH top end on KTM bottom end?

Hi John, I believe at one point MTH made a specific barrel to go on to a KTM bottom end before then moving on to their complete engines. MVP (a Russian company I believe) also built a similar conversion taking a KTM out to around 650. For the top end conversion I believe the Rod, Piston and Barrel w...

Re: I want to become a passenger / Yorkshire area

Hi There, Good luck with your search :) I think given your location there will be a bit of travel involved as there is a limited supply of meetings but keep your eyes open on here as people are often looking. Look at both AMCA and ACU events to see what is closest to you that you can get to to meet ...

Re: the replacement of Round 1 CLubman's

My vote would always be for a trip to Rusper as I like the venue :) Sadly if things persist as they are Chris and I will still be minus a bike so I am not really in a position to make requests!! :(

Very kind of you and the Twickenham club to put the offer out there Les.

Cheers

Re: Bsu mth reiger set up

Hi Mate,

Have you tried chatting to Shaun? He knows more about suspension setup and shock lengths than most people :) Also Mike Turner and Kevin Hollister could probably help as well.

Cheers

Re: PRESS RELEASE: The Sidecar Motocross Association of Gre

Thanks for the clarification Ian, can I also infer from this that joining the SMCA would automatically register us for the 2014 Clubmans without the need for the registration fee? (And provide me with the required code for my ACU Licence renewal?)

Many Thanks

Re: English definitions

100% behind you there mate, there are a some really good folks and companies out there who work very hard to support the sport and who seem to never get the support and gratitude they deserve, but they do always seem to be at the receiving end of raw treatment and complaints. I hope this starts to c...

Re: Suspension set up and sag measurements

Hi There, Welcome to the 3 wheeled world :D There are a few different items about this on the forum if you have a dig about, but if you have a decent grasp of solo setup then the principals are pretty similar from what I understand, just the bike/rider weights are higher. Normal sag rules apply for ...

Re: Rake angle and grip

Kevin Hollister is indeed the man with Frame building and angles for steering, I also seem to recall Mr. Mallows running a VMC with extended headstock back in the late 90's/early 2000's sometime.

Re: Final round of East Anglian Championship

Absolutely, the Championship was well received and the local feedback was good concerning the sidecars. Certainly the championship appears to have attracted a good number of out of centre riders to Hanningfield who put on a great show. :)

Thanks Taffy
