How to post a photograph on this forum

Post by John Wolverson »

Good morning Ian, I think that I know you from when Marc raced sidecars A.C.U, "or where"?
What was that address, so that I can post a photograph other than a thumb nail?

Many thanks Ian......You have been a big help..........Johnny W.

Hi John,

Scroll down the page that has the thumbnail link on, past some adverts and you'll find the hotlinks there.

Don't know if we've met...I used to race solos. I have only recently discovered the true faith; sidecars.

Glad to have helped.

Post by John Wolverson »

Scott, Rien or Ian, could you please explain how to post multiple photograph's on one entry on the forum. How do you resize them once you have them on Image Shack before you send them?

All the best.........And many thanks in advanced.........Johnny W.

John,
as you can see in your topic from 2 minutes ago, i changed already the wrong code.

The correct code must look like this line below but then without the space between the [ and ]
[ url=http://img49.imageshack.us/my.php?image ... ver3fu.jpg ][ img ]http://img49.imageshack.us/img49/120/ka ... 3fu.th.jpg[ /img ][ /url ]

I hope this will help you.

Edit by Rien;
What we see here is not a link to an image, but only a link to a webpage which will show an image,
To show an image your link must contain www.an_adress.co.uk / maybe a subfolder / the name of the picture. jpg or gif or png, etc. So the extensions of your image always ended with .jpg or .gif or .bmp or.png
For that reason this above was not working

Edit by Rien;

and again

Edit by Rien;
Here we are almost there only the = sign doesn't belong there. When i deleted in the line here under, normally the photo will show up
[ img ]http://img844.imageshack.us/i/bsuzablepic5.jpg[ /img ]
But imageshack does not allow direct linking so you better use the "Embed thumbnails of this image' as seen beside
And then copy the code of the 1st line
Then it will show a thumbnail image and a link to the bigger photo.

Edit by Rien;
On this message the codes are incorrect, but still the link shows op.
When you click the link it open the webpage with the picture
http://img571.imageshack.us/img571/3363 ... lepic4.jpg (link straight to the photo)
http://img571.imageshack.us/i/bsuzablepic4.jpg/ (link to the webpage with photo)
http://img214.imageshack.us/i/bsuzablepic3.jpg/ (link to the webpage with photo)

I hope this explains a little bit hot to show your photo onto the forum.
Good luck with your message and uploading those photos.
Wishing you a good old year and even a better and happy New year
