The sidecar is gone!

Post by Scott »

We packed the sidecar into the shipping container and sent it off. First in was the Team Rally PanAmerica F350 support truck, then our sidecar, four KTM’s, a pile of tires, and finally our boxed supplies. After all that work last week fitting our stuff on a pallet, we found that everything didn’t fit into the container. With the truck in, and all the bikes on pallets, we were 1 meter short in the container. The easiest fix was to ditch our pallet and roll the sidecar in tightly beside Kevin Heath’s KTM. Eventually it all fit.

We now have a month and a half before we fly to Portugal.

It was a long last few weeks, and when I got to the shipping company, I was a bit tired:

Hi Scott & Duane,
All the best for the Dakar 2006, looking forward to see how you guys get on. With all the work and effort put in to this project if anyone deserves to complete the rally it is you two.
Good luck,
Dave Tye
