Hi Wend,

Is there a story to tell about this race. It seems that there happen't a lot. We had a race too yesterday and we where racing at good sunny conditions. We got second overall but we didn't here anything about the races in Shobdon. I know the track because i raced there in my first IMBA season in 1999.

Greetings,
The Stork

Hi Mr Stork,
Glad to hear you are still racing well - very good.
Yesterday was a mixture of things.

Saturday was very wet, but Sunday was dry to start with and the track conditions were perfect.
There were a number of red-flags for accidents. Simon Bradford's passenger came out of the sidecar coming over the table-top and was unfortunately then hit by another sidecar - this was just an accident and could not be helped. The passenger of the other bike was also taken to hospital.
Ton's passenger received an injury to his face and then Ton suffered an injury in the next race.
Race 3 did start, but was red-flagged when Somers crashed at the end of the start straight. The re-run was also red-flagged, but we are not sure why. By this time it had started to rain and there was a riders meeting where a decision was taken to cancel the race so the third race did not go ahead and everyone went home.
If you look at the Belgian Sidecarcross page, John has listed the injured riders/passengers (because he is better at names than I am!)
It was a shame really that the day went the way it did, I think everyone will be hoping for a better day when we go to Czecho.
How is your wrist?
