AMA-District 37 GP Series / Prairie Dogs-round two resultzzz

Picture perfect day was the conditions for Mike Burns and Matt Sidoti (Z-1)on their EML/MTH at the second round of the AMA/District 37 Prairie Dogs GP at the famed Glen Helen Raceway Park in San Bernardino,CA, the weather was pretty nice too.

The course was quite the change up of variety as the Prairie Dogs utilized as much usable area for a race as possible. Both MX tracks, dirt and paved access roads, and offroad ridges comprised together for an over eight mile course with lead quads and sidecars going a total of four laps during this hour long GP.

Only four sidecar teams showed with about seventy quads on Saturday, March 5th. Mark McDade & Bob Morgan 650 XR/EML (the last two GPs of 2004 winners / Z-2) had problems with lap one as they overshot a turn into the deep mud, and required assistance to get the rig unstuck,and were never able to catch up from the time lost.

Glen (Skippy) McClellan & Janette Player had problems on the first lap and could not continue beyond that.

Paul Stimson and my self on our 530 Honda/EML switched off for the lead with MikeBurns and Matt Sidoti quite a few times, but at the end of the last lap, the mighty MTH prevailed and our Z-4 had to settle for the second place. we all had a great time and the P-Dogs did a great job on putting on this event.
