Zabel 685 bing carb jet sizes

Post by michaelkirkup »

I know not many use them anymore but does Anyone know the jet settings for a bing 55 gold cup carb on a zabel 685 cylinder reed block engine?
Having a few problems with higher revs, current settings are 215 main jet 2.84 needle jet, 6L6 needle with clip on top groove, and 85 pilot jet, I'd imagine these are way off by the way it runs! Any help greatly appreciated

I think the overall jetting is a little poor, i guess: mainjet 230, needle jet 286 or even 288, needle 6L6 with clip in he middle groove, and the pilot jet is OK 85

He knows exactly which jetting must be used.

I sent you already a message regarding jetting.
You can use less oil.
1:70 is enough
