Viewfinders BIG SIX GP Reminder / Ridgecrest, CA

Post by chris m. johnson »

Sunday, October 2nd, 2005, at 2:45 pm - The Viewfinders MC will play host to the round six (not the last of the year though) BIG SIX GP Series at the Kern County Fairgounds in Ridgecrest, CA. Sidecars will start behind the quads as usual.

I was told they added another one and a half (1.5) miles to the already seven (7) mile GP course from last year so be sure to carry enough fuel for the entire hour. Be sure to gear to the moon too as there will be many long straights to stretch your legs a bit.

The last GP at racetown two weeks ago showed seven rigs, and we hope to have as good or better a turnout for this event. No spark arrestor or green/red stickers required for the Viewfinders GP, but there will be sound checks required on even numbers.

CHEERS and hope to see a good turnout - Chris

GREAT RIDE, Morgan & Janette

Post by chris m. johnson »

GREAT RIDE Morgan & Janette -

Besides pulling the holeshot, you two rode great, smooth and consistant to a strong third place. Cool pictures of the Shamrock team on http://www.district37ama.org too.

Besides the high speed (50-60 mph)breaking bumps coming into turns, it was not a cakewalk for any passenger but between Morgans Smoothness and Janette hangin on, they did great even for an hour long event.

Maybe next year you two can pursue the MX circuit - with Morgans starts, and Janettes skills grooming, you two could do some damage next year at the AMA Sidecar MX Championship (you two also ride a leftie better than a rightie).

Good job again - Chris
