TAFT AMA District 37 GP / Feb 5th, 2006

First Round of the AMA, District 37,GPR BixSix GP Series had close to 1,700 racers over the two day affair and the weather was perfect but the track was very technical and rough, not for the beginners or timid. We need to add a qualifier prior to the series to assure the sidecar racers skills are sufficient to race the course.

We made the best of it racing with close to 80 quads on the 7.5 mile course / Congratulations to the 2005 champs - Mike Burns Jr. and Matt Sidoti came out victoriously (but victor didnt show), Mark McDade & Bob Morgan came in second and Paul Stimson and myself came in the third slot, but we did pull the holesho........t.. Burns/Sidoti battled all three laps with McDade/Morgan and finally pulled the final pass on lap three to take the win, good show guys.

This was one technical track to race. Brutal yet loads of FUN. Definite "Old school terrain". Looking forward to next year.
