MTH/Mega or Jawa

Hi all,

I'm looking at getting either an MTH/Mega engine for a project and was chasing some info on these engines.

How is the reliability on these engines compared to an enduro 2 stroke?
What kind of hours can I expect between piston changes?
Also, I've heard that the big zabels go through bottom end bearings really quickly. Is this also the case for the MTH/Megas?
What year did the mth/mega get a counterbalance? They had it on their website in 2016, but I'm not sure what year that got added.

If someone could tell me these, it would be greatly appreciated

-> Will find out for you based on user experiences this weekend

-> Unfortunately generally taken, I was informed this is true indeed.. MTH/Mega's are known to be more durable in this respect due to their more robust gear design. Lower maintanance expences expected due to this with MTH/Mega's. :thumb:

Almost forgot to drop a note here! I've been asking around and depending on the drivers race style and of course with good maintenance habits (each 6-8 hours), the piston should be able to last for probably 20 - 40 race hours with a MTH/MEGA.
