Re: Toddington CANCELLED
Such a shame again, and as always, you have to feel sorry for the club, and at least they’ve made the decision early. What a year for the Clubmans, rounds cancelled for snow, and for Drought! Hopefully we’ll get some rain soon, but not too much!e

GP on the telly.
How fantastic was that! We now get to watch the sidecar gp live! Don’t know if this was a one off, or if it’s going to be a regular thing, but we’ve come a long way with this in a short time, well done to those that have made it happen. Will be interesting to see if tv coverage expands interest in t...

Re: Kleinhau Floodlit Meeting
Hi Arthur. It was a few years ago when I went, but I assume it’s the same now. Practice started at about 5:00 pm on the Friday evening. Some people make a holiday of it, and arrive days before, but arriving on the Thursday works well, they put on a bit of a social on the Thursday evening, and you ge...

Stuart and Joe.
Good to see Stuart and Joe going so well in Holland, obviously taken to the 4 stroke well. Seems Stuart has found his inner gearbox again! I’ve a feeling they just might do something special in the World Championship this year, let’s hope so.

Re: AMCA Upavon CANCELLED
What a shame, bloody weather! Frustrating start to the season, but you have to feel sorry for the club, all that work for nothing. Let’s hope we get going at Owselbury now.

Re: British Championship eligibility
Thanks Doogle. I'm asking on behalf of my nephew Tom, he's passengering for a driver new to sidecars this year, although he's had many years as a solo rider. They're pretty keen, and are hoping to get into the British Championships, but we weren't sure how it works, so thanks to you and Chris for th...

Re: British Championship eligibility
On the subject of the British Championship, we should get an exciting one this year. I hear Stuart and Joe are racing again this year, and are now using AMS engines, and of course Brett and Dan were very much on the pace towards the end of last season once they got back on Zabel engines, and Brett r...

Re: British Championship eligibility
Hi Chris, thanks for that.
So as I read it, anyone can apply for a 'wild card' entry, and it's up to the ACU if that entry is accepted. Presumably the criteria being if there is a space.

British Championship eligibility
Could someone please let me know, if a new driver starting this year wants to enter the British Championship rounds, what is the criteria for being eligible?
Thanks.
Thanks.

Re: WHY NO SIDECAR GP IN UK
Hi Taffy. You are of course correct in all you say on this, and I do realise it is a massive undertaking for any club/organisation to take on. I think there are basically two hurdles to running a GP, the finance, and finding a club to take it on. I was simply making the point that 'crowd funding' mi...

Re: WHY NO SIDECAR GP IN UK
Maybe I'm being naive, but perhaps the only way is we all fund it ourselves, perhaps thro' the SMCA. Taffy says it would take £50,000, that's 500 times £100, I'd gladly chip in £100, we only need another 499 people! I realise of course it's not that simple, and it would mean someone taking on the jo...

Sidecarcross on the telly.
Just noticed that Motorsport TV are showing a round of the world sidecarcross championship this afternoon, about 5:00 I think, for anyone who's interested.

Good luck to all the Brits in Holland this weekend. Hope Brett/Dan are there. Hoping Stuart/Joe go we'll this year, there seems to be a few big names missing from the entry list, so here's hoping our boys can step up. Shame we've lost Nick/Christian, but interesting that we've a couple of young team...
