Former worldchampion Ton van Heugten passed away

Last night former world champion Ton van Heugten passed away due to a hart attack.
May he rest in peace.
My condolences to the family and relatives.

Ton was European champion in 1975 and World champion in 1981



On Tuesday 1 april from 20:00 till 21:30 you can bring a last greet to Ton and express condolences to the family

Wednesday 2 april at 13:30 is the last ceremony in the parish church Sint Franciscus Xaverius, 't Zand 29, Amersfoort
Afterwards the ceremony is the burial at the family grave.

I am really shocked to read this. I knew Ton from 1975 when he took part in the European Championship at Rudersberg. All the years when we met again he remained the same friendly “sunny boy”.
My condolences to his family, too.
