Anyone know of anyone still doing bigbore 2 stroke tunning?
I'm looking to get a KX 500 bigbored to 560 and tuned
Any info gladly received

Hello Iankaz ,the best Boy for Kawatuning is the swiss Felix Meili from Meisterschwanden but sorry il have no phonenumber.

Hi Ian ,I can remember all the horror stories of riders taking their 500s up to 560-580 and then having problems with reliability ,it seemed the best size was to take them out to 540,hope this helps

Hi Jack nice to here from you .
Been running a 560 without any problem, so thought I would stick with it.
I have a newer 500 engine and already had a spare 560 piston. So thats why
I'm going for the 560 conversion if I can find someone to do it that is.
Saves me a bit of money, maybe in the short term anyway.
Had a 540 back in the day and it was pretty nippy but not as quick as
the 560 I got from germany a while back
Dave Grays lad Dean is getting into sidecars and showing a bit of potential ,
so I'm kinda sponsoring him
just needs a good passenger for 2013 once hes had a full season

Hi Ian I will have to say those early conversions were a long time ago :shock: , no doubt the engineering and know how have come on a long way since then .will you be going to wooley grange for the championship ? if so i will try to meet up with you there .

I will Be there if not at work
missed it last year as i was away
Tried to talk some of the lads into going to the German GP's
with Mark P and the gang but the wussers pulled out
