Stopping BIGAND brothers
Because of financial problems and lack of recognition by the French Federation, Julien and Baptiste BIGAND decided to stop sidecar cross.
Below official communicate translated with google:
End of career
After a lengthy discussion, we decided to end our careers. We just completed our best season since our inception in 2004 and we sincerely thought that following our results would change things. Today, after many requests for partnerships, the report is more than disappointing.
If we had continued, it would have been the aim of achieving better results than last season. For this, we need a much bigger budget and a schedule much more flexible.
Today, we no longer have the strength nor the motivation to practice the sidecar as we have done so far. We were convinced that by giving 200%, we would eventually be recognized athletes and that things would be easier.
Since our inception, we have always given back, not to mention our time and money, we're very proud of what we managed to achieve, now it is time for us to move on.
We thank all those who have always supported us, we think especially our parents, our family, our friends, our sponsors and of course to all our supporters, without whom this would never have been possible.
Know that today we are relieved and satisfied to have made the right decision.
THANKS
THE BIGAND TEAM

Re: Stopping BIGAND brothers
A sad day indeed, I wish them all the best in whatever they choose to pursue from now on.
It is a shame the backing is not there to allow them to proceed in the way the would like, I know this is an issue faced by many teams.
Regards
Dave

Here in Ukraine to finance even worse, probably worse only in Mongolia but we keep returning to the sidecarcross, if sick sidecarcross it for life. It is incurable. So hope to see you again on the GP and other races.
